CasaBono,

discover Abruzzo

A Sunday in May in Sulmona

I wake up to the sweet sound of the bells coming from the baroque church of the Annunziata, which overlooks majestically right in front of my room at the Stella CasaBono boutique. It's a late May morning, the fresh air caressing my face as a timid sun begins to appear through the clouds.

I get up from the comfortable bed and look out onto the terrace, admiring the spectacle that unfolds before my eyes. The city of Sulmona is immersed in a peaceful morning atmosphere. The houses wind through a charming labyrinth of cobbled and colorful streets. The surrounding mountains stand out in the background, creating a picturesque picture.

Exploring this fascinating city on foot, immersing myself in its history and culture. Through the heart of the historic center, I walk along welcoming alleys and admire the ancient architectures that told the stories of past centuries. The sound of my shoes on the stone streets accompanied the tinkling of the bells, creating a unique melody that filled the atmosphere.

I let my curiosity guide me and I walked towards Piazza XX Settembre, the beating heart of Sulmona with its lively muttering of irresistible voices and perfumes against which the statue of the poet Ovid is the backdrop.

As I stroll through the streets, I find myself in front of the Cathedral of San Panfilo, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Its majesty and the solemn atmosphere that surrounds it fill me with a feeling of serenity and wonder.

Back to Stella CasaBono, happy and full of wonderful memories. I relax on the terrace, enjoying the breathtaking view of the city and the mountains, while the warm sun caressed my skin. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, a perfect place after a day of adventures.

I felt lucky to have discovered this hidden gem in Abruzzo, with its fascinating history, its natural beauty and the warm welcome of its inhabitants.
